After more than 25 years, GST (formerly Andrew Wartts and the Gospel Storytellers) have returned to the studio to record a new maxi-CD titled A House on Sand. The multi-track CD is being produced by Stellar award-winning producer Curtis Turrentine Jr, who accompanies GST (Andrew, Ed, and Joe) on the song “The Sand House.” The Queen of Quartet singers Evelyn Turrentine-Agee also joins the group on “Jesus My Precious King,” originally recorded by the famed Dixie Hummingbirds.

The new CD will showcase not only the group’s keen vocal style, but also their talent for writing and arranging music celebrating Biblical stories. “The Sand House,” written by lead vocalist Andrew Wartts, is a narrative of the book of Mathew 7:24, and is arranged by Curtis Turrentine. In the song, Jesus tells the story of two men - one building hope on temporal things and the other building on eternal things. Additionally, the CD contains the track “No Middle Ground,” a song about choosing which road to follow in life.

The Gospel Storytellers made their debut in 1984 with their first album, There Is A God Somewhere, which continues to sell internationally and can be purchased online and from various vinyl collectors. Their dual-track CD, featuring “The Sand House” and “No Middle Ground,” is scheduled to be released in early September; and will be followed by the complete CD in 2012.

Andrew, I want to thank you and other members of the band for doing this album. I had a chance to listen to it a while ago and it truly blew my mind. I have some 5000 LP's and 2500 singles in my collection and if I were force to get rid of everything except one album I would keep yours. The Gospel Storytellers very first recording THERE IS A GOD SOMEWHERE recorded in the now defunct Champ Studio in Nashville TN. is in demand by fans and Vinyl Record Collectors around the world in such countries as Japan, Finland and Alaska. One copy of the Vinyl LP was recently auctioned on Ebay for $250. The Storytellers are pleased about the worldwide attention the LP is receiving and are planning to have another CD out by the summer of 2009.

In St. Louis, Mo. A TWB Recording Company spokesperson today announced that "There Is A God Somewhere" is now available on CD. The album, recorded in Nashville some years ago, contains ten songs, mostly original material and was the very first album for the Gospel Storyteller. It can be purchased at CD Baby and downloaded from Apple itunes and other online retailers.
